MDL Australia introduces the all new Laser Ace® 3D Hypsometer at the Australian Construction Equipment Expo 2009. A simple ‘All In One’ Heighting, Diameter & Log Volume Instrument with Inbuilt Data Storage and Integrated Digital Compass.
The LaserAce® 3D Hypsometer is a handheld laser range finder providing you with simple, fast and effective surveying capabilities for a variety of applications. It enables foresters to easily and efficiently measure tree height, diameter (at any height), simple or 'taper' log volumes and tree lean.
Incorporating a pulsed laser distance meter and an inclinometer, the 5x sighting scope allows the operator to aim and measure range and vertical angles to passive targets up to 150m away with 5cm accuracy. A range of 600m is attainable to reflective targets.
The palm-sized LaserAce® 3D is class 1 eye safe (FDA/IEC) and weighs only 400g Measurements and calculations are displayed on a custom made back lit LCD panel. Data output is via Bluetooth. The LaserAce® 3D can be configured to interface to arrange of data loggers, palm and pen computers
